David F. Chang, M.D.
Dr. Chang is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Medical School. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of California – San Francisco, where he is currently a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology. Dr. Chang has been at Altos Eye Physicians since 1984, and specializes in cataract surgery.

Alejandro A. Zaffaroni, M.D.
Dr. Zaffaroni graduated from the University of California – Berkeley and the University of California – Davis Medical School. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of California – San Francisco, where he is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology. Dr. Zaffaroni is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Zaffaroni was in private practice in San Francisco from 1984 until joining Altos Eye Physicians in 1996.
Ajita Grewal, M.D.
Dr. Grewal graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with Honors from Davidson College in North Carolina. After one year of basic science research at Johns Hopkins University, she attended Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Grewal graduated medical school with a special achievement award from the American Medical Women’s Association. Dr. Grewal then completed her Internship in Internal Medicine at Stanford University Hospital and her Ophthalmology Residency at the University of California – San Francisco. While at UCSF Dr. Grewal received the Asbury Award in clinical research. Dr. Grewal has a special interest in dry eye, glaucoma, cornea and external disease and general eye disorders. She has been at Altos Eye Physicians since 1999.
Dr. Grewal is a fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology (Board Certified). She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, California Academy of Eye Physicians, Santa Clara County Medical Association, and California Medical Association. Dr. Grewal is also on the staff of El Camino Hospital.
Optometrists
Jeffrey L. Azus, O.D. graduated from UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 1986. After practicing in Southern California for five years, he joined our staff in 1991.
Sheri Yamanishi, O.D. graduated from UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 1994. She has practiced optometry in the South Bay Area since graduation and joined our staff in 2002.
Catherine Wang, O.D. graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in 2007 and completed a post graduate residency in Ocular Disease and Low Vision at the Veterans Administration Hospital in San Diego, California. She joined our staff in 2009.
