In their consumer survey of 150 Bay Area optical businesses, the respected and independent publication, Bay Area Consumers Checkbook, gave Altos Optical Company its “Top rating for quality.” *
Checkbook’s “Checkmark – Top rating for quality” is based upon random consumer survey scores in the categories of advice, promptness, ease of testing, reliability, and product quality and variety. Altos Optical was consistently well above average in all of these categories and was one of the 15 optical businesses in Santa Clara County to receive this distinction. Of 150 Bay Area optical stores surveyed, Altos Optical scored the highest in the category of Product Quality (one of only eight optical businesses to receive a 100% score, and one of two in Santa Clara County.)*

Established in 1954, Altos Optical Co. has been serving the patients of Altos Eye Physicians for more than 50 years. As the optical dispensary arm of Altos Eye Physicians we meet the highest standards in patient care and satisfaction.
Opticians
We are staffed by two highly trained opticians certified by the American Board of Opticians.
Judy Daley – Manager and Head Optician, has more than 30 years of customer service/patient service experience. In addition to working closely with the patients and the physicians Judy runs our on-site lens finishing lab. Judy is dedicated to providing the highest quality personalized service in lens and frame fittings. Judy has been with Altos Optical Co. since 2004.
Julie Moore – Optician, has 15 years of experience. She is highly skilled in assisting patients select the appropriate frame and lens for their specific needs. Julie has been with Altos Optical Co. since 2006.
Frames and Lenses
Our opticians will custom fit you with the latest styles in frames to suit every budget. We carry frames for adults and children. We can also assist you with specialty sports eye wear. Our designer frame selection includes Dior, Armani, Kate Spade, Max Mara, Michael Kors, Jones New York, and others.
We specialize in providing state of the art lens technology such as Zeiss, Hoya and Shamir.
Insurance
We are a VSP Provider, and we will file your Post Surgery Medicare insurance claims.
Service and Repair
We offer service and repair of your glasses whether you purchased them from us or not.
Appointments
No appointment is necessary, drop-ins are welcome!

Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
